Spoiled 2 Weeks Sober with dots

I picked this up a few days ago and initially did not want to use it because the brush looked really frayed.  But when I applied it to my first nail, it went on really well.  So I guess I can't judge a brush by it's bristle? lols The brush is like alot of the Sally Hansen's brushes, wide and flat.  2 Weeks Sober looked like a dark jelly purple in the bottle, but it paints on a lovely cream purple.  I love me a bargain polish.

I made the dots with Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear Lacey Lilac and Revlon's Jaded.  I thought Jaded would pop out more against the darker purple but combined with Lacey Lilac, it kind of mushed all together.  It looks okay but not how I envisioned in my head.  Well, you win some, you lose some.  I only have one dotting tool and it's super thin, so I improvised.  I used a bobby pin for the larger dots and my usual incense stem for the smaller dots.  They look kinda like cells floating around lol. How's with leaving you with that image -=)

Milani Mint Candy

Milani Mint Candy Nail Polish
This is the other Milani polish I bought the other day along with Beach Front.  I can't describe Mint Candy, it looks teal in daylight but in florescent light, it looks more green with gray undertones.  You might be able to see the slight tealish shimmer in the sunlight photo.
I saw this over at The Polishaholic and just had to go look for it.  I found it at the CVS near my parents, not in the Milani display but on a shelf with the other Milani Spring 2012 Color Play line. I'm looking for the perfect teal, obviously this isn't it but it's still a very pretty color.  It glided on smoothly and didn't give me any lumpy or streaky trouble.
You know I can't leave well alone, so tonight I might add something on top.  I just need some inspiration, I'll figure something out during the day lols.

Milani Beach Front

Milani Beach Front Flower Accent Nail So Milani Beach Front is making a full appearance!  It's a beautiful baby blue with a shimmer undertone.  I thought it looked very spring like so I decided to add some daisies to it by using Zoya Areej and H&M Plum and I used the H&M Summer Sunrise for the middle of the flower.  I didn't want it to look too busy, I did the corners of each nail and only the ring finger got more than one flower.  These were pretty easy to do.  Same concept as making dots, just cluster them in five and add a dot in the middle in a different color.  It came out pretty nice, especially how simple the corner flower looks.

I'm starting to realize I love blues and purples alot more than I thought I did. Beach front is very opaque, I could've went with one coat but used two just to fortify it.  I would've thought that shimmers would be more sheer but this wasn't the case.  Unlike the weather outside, this mani makes me feel happy and warm!

Milani Beach Front heart

Milani Beach Front, Nail Stamp Heart
I bought the new Milani Beach Front and wanted to try it out, so I added a little heart to the corner of my cloud mani fro the day before.  It's such a pretty baby blue with a faint shimmer in the background.  I can't wait to use it for a full mani.

I just wanted to squeeze this in while I'm trying to get my daughter to take her morning nap.  I don't think it's working lols I hear her hitting her bottle against the crib.

Wet n Wild - China Glaze - Essie

Wet n Wild, China Glaze, Essie Cloud Nails I did the clouds again!!  I love how simple it is and there's so many pretty combinations!  My base is wet N wild Through the Grapevine.  It's a red toned purple and I LOVE me some purple, any purple.  For Audry is the first China Glaze polish I got, and I found it when we were visiting the in-laws in Tampa.  Up here in NYC, there aren't many places that sell CG retail.  And I'm too cheapo to pay shipping to order them.  Chastity appears again since I wanted something bright.  This mani is girly and fun and oh so cutesie!  I can't wait till my babygirl is old enough to enjoy these girly things with me.  I'm just hoping she's not a tomboy, she does like to dance so I'm still hopeful lols.

Essie Chastity with Zoya Areej and H&M Plum hearts

Essie Chastity, Zoya Areej, H&M Plum, Nail Stamping
Happy Valentine's Day!!  I wanted to be a little festive, so I dug out my Essie Chastity for the base.  I don't really like Essie polishes too much, alot of them are gunky and brush too stiff but some colors are just so pretty.  This is a darker powder pink that really stands out.  I was looking for a pigmented color for my stamp, and used Zoya Areej with this tiny little H&M Plum bottle I got for $1.50.  I've been having a hard time with my stamps being visable, alot of times I use a color too light.  I used the same plate I used on my last mani, there were two different heart patterns on the same plate.
These two colors stood out pretty good on top of Chastity.  It's simple, and didn't take too long to do since the only time I have to spend on my mani's are after the baby's asleep and when dinner has been eaten, dishes done.  I think the hubs is tired of smelling nail polish night after night lols.  Have a lovely Valentine's day with your love!

Revlon Jaded with Sinful Colors Mint Apple hearts

Revlon Jaded with Sinful Colors Mint Apple Hearts
I bought Revlon's Jaded for 51% off, I've been eyeing it since I've seen it on sale, and it's been on sale for quite a while.  I don't really like these quick dry colored polishes cause I'm a slow worker, and it gunks up.  I manage to get it on smooth but it took 3 coats.

I haven't stamped in a while so I figured I can try it again.  I'm not great at it, but it looks okay.  I was hesitant to stamp with the Mint Apple, thinking it might be too light and it wouldn't show up but it came out pretty good.  My hubs, as a gag, bought me the As Seen on TV Express Nail Art Stamping Kit, and I used the SE 21 plate to stamp the double hearts.  I couldn't find a good sized heart in my BM plates, so I used this one and found it okay.  It still looks a little boring to me, it makes me want to add some pop to it, maybe I'll do that tomorrow. Well until next time ladies, g'night!

Joe Fresh Papaya

Joe Fresh Cloud Nails Second color I got picked up from Joe Fresh was Papaya.  It's a pretty cream orange that reminds me of creamsicles!!  I had painted my nails yesterday but single colors bore me, so today I tried out the cloud tips I saw at Nail Side's site.  Go check her out!  I didn't do as good as a job she does but I think I did a fine good job for my first try!  I used Sinful Colors in Mint Apple and this tiny little H&M polish called Jaded for the clouds.  These colors together look sorta kinda retro, and I'm in a retro kinda mood lols.
You know, it's kind of weird that my right hand came out looking better than my left and I'm a righty.  How's that even possible, I amaze myself lols.

Joe Fresh Cobalt

Joe Fresh Cobalt I went to the Joe Fresh on 5th and 16th yesterday with my favorite girlies and picked up a few polishes.  From what I heard, this is the only location that carries nail polishes, $4.00 each and $10.00 for 3.  For some reasin, I thought it said $10 for 4 so I bought 4.  Today features Cobalt, which is perfect for the SuperBowl.  I love love love this color!  My intentions were to pick up Denim which is a darker blue, well I bought that one also, but when I saw this, I just had to get this one too!  There so many to choose from, I wanted them all.

The brush is super short because of the smaller bottle, its only 0.2 fluid oz.  The first coat went on streaky but after getting used to the brush, it finished very well.  What you have to do is, load up the brush with polish, place a drop close to the cuticle and spread it down through your nailbed.  It's smooth, it's shiny and oh so blue!  It's beautiful!!!!! Until next time my lovelies, GO GIANTS!!!

Sally Hansen Smooth & Perfect Sorbet with Milan Gems in between

Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect Sorbet with Milan Gems I have this obsession with layering sheers over glitter, especially milky sheers.  They turn your harsh glitters into something whimsical and girly.  So here I have Sally Hansen Smooth & Perfect in Sorbet, which is sheer peachy and shimmery.  I am not fond of the brush, it's flat and wide and hard to work with.  I used one coat of Sorbet as a base, then spread a coat of Milani Gems trying to even out the glitters then another coat of Sorbet over that resulting in a lovely milky mani.  It might be a little too light for winter but with the weather NYC is having, it might as well be spring time!
