Wow this took me extremely long to do! Cutting the striping tape into little pieces, and taping them down straight took much more effort than I initially thought. And to think, I didn't even cut enough pieces !! lols I had to strategically reuse some of the longer ones that were only contaminated with the red polish on one side. I was impatient in applying the top coat and some nails dragged the red into the white but it looks okay. You know, sometimes you see that in real candy canes anyway lol You can't tell, but I used a pearly white and not a stark white, to simulate a more realistic candy cane. I can't deny it, I like it even with all the little flaws. I forgot how much of a jelly red Ruby Ruby is, so I ended up layering a few coats to get that candy apple red. Overall, I like it. Happy Holidays my lovelies!

You did a good job! It is never nice to paint your nails in a rush cause you end up messing a few! But either way these look pretty and Christmas-y
ReplyDeleteI will be doing candy cane nails soon and I totally wanted to use a pearly white instead of just a regular white creme! Great job! It's so annoying when you don't cut enough pieces of tape >.<
