Day 11 - Do the Matted Polka!

Matte Essie Polka Dots
I love the white and minty turquoise combo, I've been wanting to do this for a while. I haven't found My BF Scales Walls yet as the Rite Aide near me doesn't carry OPI for some reason. So I picked up Sally Hansen's Polar Bare from the Complete Salon Manicure line. I kinda like it, even though is pretty sheer. For absolute opaqueness, I had to literally lay on 4 coats of this baby. Luckily it dried pretty quick and I slapped on a coat of SV before doing the dots. I alternated between larger and smaller dots to give it some variety, it came out better than I expected. Because of Polar Bare's sheerness, I had to go over the larger dots to make them stand out more. From past uses, I know that Turquoise and Caicos has a sheerness to it also, so I layered it over a coat of Polar Bare just in case. I recently bought a bottle of NYC Matte Me Crazy! and wanted to try it out, so I slapped it on as a topcoat instead of my regular SV. I am loving the end results! I was afraid it would take longer to dry but it dried pretty fast and I was up and about in minutes. Would definitely use it again!
