We did a run in Kmart a couple weeks ago and I took a stroll down the cosmetic aisle. I've been eyeing Go Overboard for a while so I was like, what the heck, let me just get it. Then sitting right next to it was Turquoise & Caicos and knowing me, I can't pass up a nice minty green.
I figured I can swatch both at the same time since they're so similar. I think they match pretty well together! Formula was easy, two coats were all I needed to get beautiful coverage. I actually wore this mani for quite some time, I'm still wearing it as I type. Which says a lot since I originally painted it on the 1st!! It kept up fairly well, there's only chippage on three fingers and the rest still look very good. As for my cuticles, now that's a different story. Hopefully, I'd get to give myself a mani tonight, if I have energy for that by the time the Munch goes to bed. Wish me luck!
My mom's been out of commission on taking care of the Munch lately due to a little accident, and probably for the rest of the month. Her back is shot so she can't pick up the Munch. I haven't been having my usually off day that I drop her off at my parents and get a little time to myself. And it so happens, she has ringworm on her toosh, that is super annoying and it's stressing me out. It's not that it's a big problem, I mean it's a fungus, it'll go away if I keep applying the lamisil but still, I don't want to spread it to anyone else or to anywhere else on her body. It's in a covered spot, so I'm not too worried it would spread to someone else or get on a surface. If they wash their hands, they're fine. I also read that it's not contagious anymore after 48 hours of treatment, whatever that means. It's just annoying that it takes 2-4 weeks to get rid of totally and still have to use the cream for a week after it goes away to totally kill off the fungus. Well, it's been about a week since I saw something on her bottom, which was only a pink mark at that time. By Friday, it looked like a round stamp the size of a nickel and there were a few, so on Saturday I started putting lamisil on it. I can't tell if it's getting better because every morning I look at it, it looks lighter but by night time, it looks pinker. If I don't see any progress by this Friday, I'll take her to the doctor, and see if it can be something else. It doesn't seem to be bothering her, besides bathing which she decided she doesn't want to do anymore. Washing her hair is like torture! Well turned into a long and drawn out post about the Munch. I hope it goes away fast, cause I'm just about done with dealing with any sicknesses. Fingers crossed!! Thank you guys for reading my rant! <3 <3

well done!!!
ReplyDeleteTHanks!
Delete)= Hopefully your munchkin gets well soon! I know that stress that a mother has. But I am sure she will recover fast!
ReplyDeleteThank you! She's doing fine, I don't think it bothers her much. It just stressful to me because I don't want to cause any problems for my aunt who watches her and I don't want it to be spread to anyone else. It looked a little better this morning but it seems to always look lighter in the morning.
DeleteRing worms are such a nuisance because of the long time it takes to get really rid of them - hope she will be fine soon...
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in your mani!
Thank you Maria! Yeah it's a pain in the ass, hopefully it'll be gone soon. I know treatment is for 2-4 weeks so I'll still be applying the cream until early sept. I don't know why they come in such small tubes when they need to be used for that long....well I guess it's so you'd buy more and spend more money....
Deleteaww i hope she gets better soon! and gorgeous color!
ReplyDeleteThank you Esme!

DeleteAww sorry to hear your munchkin (such a cute nickname!) has ringworms. Hope she is all better soon. That's a cute mani. You're right, the two colors do go well together. :-)
